Levent Ak

Dr. Levent Ak is a third-generation dentist and a passionate of digital technologies. He graduated in 2003 from the Faculty of Dentistry of Ege University (Izmir, Turkey). His final thesis, entitled Orthodontic Treatment In Adult Periodontal Patient, was focused on digital workflows in orthodontics. Prior to his graduation, Dr. Levent Ak worked for as trainer on NobelProcera® / Procera solutions in Turkey for two years.

Meanwhile maintanining his private clinical practice until 2011, Dr. Levent Ak joined Turkuaz Dental (Izmir) in 2003 and created company’s CAD/CAM department which became a huge success. He also led several key projects related to digital prosthetic workflows including additive-manufacturing (AM) technologies for metal/plastic materials, CAD workflows for full-dentures.

In 2014, he accepted to lead the digital operations of Alyans Dental (Izmir) which is a fully-digital dental lab. For automation between clinics-labs, Dr. Levent Ak decided to join Camcube (Montreal, Canada) in 2018 as VP Products & Solutions. He also led the proprietary product development of the company, including dental CNC systems (milling-machines) and digital dentistry platform.

Today Dr. Levent Ak is the COO of twinMAC (Izmir, Turkey), a technology company focusing on Industry 4.0, sustainable/green manufacturing for medical/dental industries.
